Recently, a few class councils had mentioned about rough play on the playground.  School Council decided to plan, write and do an assembly about ways to play kindly and gently.  Having prepared for the last 4 weeks, we presented our assembly to Years 1 and 2 today.

Most of this and the last meeting (on 23/2/10) was spent rehearsing for the ‘Fair Play’ assembly, planned and written by the children.  Mr Bunting confirmed that Ms Dixon had agreed  to us having assembly time on Tuesday, 9th March.

It’s Alaska in 1925.   The city of Nome is struck by disease during a time of heavy snowstorms.  The railways and roads are blocked, so  dog teams are used to get medicines to the city.  The hero of the film is called Balto.  He is part-wolf and part-dog and leads an exciting rescue [...]
