Newsletter 10 – May ’09

Ofsted
Thank you for all your completed questionnaires for our Ofsted Inspection last week: over 50% were returned.
We are all very pleased with how the inspection went but the outcome must remain confidential until the report is published in about 3 weeks times. The report, once published, will then be shared with you all.

treeClimbing
The trees on our school site should not be climbed. They are not strong enough for climbing. There are plenty of appropriate things to climb on within the play area so can all parents and carers please not allow children to climb on: Trees, walls, gates, meter housing at front entrance, sign outside the office and the dustbins by the sports hall.
Thank you for your co-operation.

Diabetes Coffee Morning
Thanks to Hazel and her daughter as well as PTA for holding this event. It raised £120.00. Sainsbury’s kindly donated tea and coffee and have also said that they would match any monies raised at the event. Thanks to Kate for providing lots of health information and advice too. Leaflets are still available in school if you didn’t get a chance to attend.

trafficYear One Road Safety
This has been going well so thank you to all of you that have helped with this. Please help the children stay safe by NOT PARKING ON THE ZIG-ZAG LINES OUTSIDE SCHOOL.

BIG IDEAS CLUB
This will be held on Thursday 21st May at playtime in the library. Any child who wants to share their ideas about what we could do in school is welcome to come and share their thoughts.
