Newsletter 5 – Christmas 2008
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and a healthy and peaceful New Year!
Thank you for your great support for our Nativity Plays this year. Your children looked wonderful and sang like angels! The NSPCC Collection raised £202.70.
We have had as usual a busy Autumn Term with lots of new ventures taking off.
Our Stationery Shop was very successful-thank you to Lottie and Roisin. We will be setting up again each Tuesday in the Spring Term-perhaps even a New Year’s Sale!
Our Sports Leadership Award has been working well with our Year 2 children involved in a range of leadership activities. Well done to them!
Family Events have been very successful. Next term we’re planning a series of Maths sessions, nature walks and some sessions to help train and support parent helpers.
We are also working with our cluster to extend opportunities for families-have you seen the flier about Reptile Brain Session at Eaton Primary?
If you haven’t been able to attend any of our Family Sessions let Mr Bunting know and we’ll try to target sessions at different times etc. We hope to attract at least 50% of our families over the year.
Thank you to each and every one of you who have helped us this term.
A Great Big Farewell and Thank You to Dene Zarins:
Dene has been teaching for 20 years and in that time she has inspired both children and colleagues. She has shown a boundless energy regarding all the new initiatives and changes over that time and has never stopped asking :”How can I help?”.We will all miss her creativity, expertise and positive approach and wish her and Juris a very happy and restful retirement!
See you all again on MONDAY 5th JANUARY 2009.
Country dancing will start on Thursday 8th Jan 8:30/Stationery Shop will be on Tuesday 13th Jan 8:45
