Re: Enforcement of school “keep clear” markings

I am writing to let you know that Norwich City Council has recently carried out the necessary legal procedure, through Traffic Regulation Orders, to ensure that all “keep clear” markings outside schools in Norwich are enforceable.

Council Enforcement Officers will be visiting schools on a regular basis and if anyone is seen stopping on the “keep clear” markings, even if only to drop a child off, they will be given a penalty charge notice which will cost them £70.

In the interests of the safety of the children at the school, and of the local residents, we would be grateful if you could make every effort to avoid stopping on the markings and where possible to park further away from the school.
